Environmental policy

Lenenergo aspires to minimize the negative impact on environment. The Company’s activities in the field of ecology are regulated by the Russian legislation and internal regulations, thus Lenenergo is committed not only to comply with statutory requirements, but also conform to the best international standards. The Environmental policy of the Company was approved in 2010.

In 2014, strategic goals of the integrated management system (IMS), including environmental goals, were defined.

Goals of the Environmental policy

• Ensuring the effective operation of environmental management system in accordance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 14001:2004
• Reducing the negative impact of production activities on environment
• Increasing the competence of employees in the area of environmental protection

Objectives of the Environmental policy

• Implementation of all activities aimed at ensuring the effective operation of environmental management system in accordance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 14001:2004
• Confirmation of compliance of environmental management system with the requirements of the international standard ISO 14001:2004
• Provision of waste disposal at licensed landfills
• Provision of address with used luminescent lamps to the Company’s internal requirements
• Ensuring compliance by contractors of the requirements of Lenenergo associated with the environmental standards of the Company
• Implementation of the plan of training, retraining and advanced training of Lenenergo employees in the area of environmental protection
